          This triangular park is located at the intersection of 33rd, 34th, and Spruce Streets on the University of Pennsylvania campus. As a key gateway location for both the university and its hospitals, the park creates a green oasis at this busy juncture. The design addresses visual connections and pedestrian safety and provides respite for students, hospital employees, and visitors. The green triangle manages stormwater on site through the use of pervious pavers and extensive planting areas. Sugar maples line the walks, and American hollies are planted at the western terminus of the park. A white garden of native plantings surrounds the lawn ellipse in the center of the space, providing a spot for a sunny day picnic with a backdrop of flowering trees and spring bulbs.
