On the former railway infrastructure, a new city center was built, with the neighboring districts being networked with each other, so that Derendorf and Düsseltal grew together over the new green spaces and square spaces.

          The new city squares (Berty Albert Park and Maurice Ravel Park) are distinguished in character and size. Alternating open spaces and buildings create flowing and tangible city addresses.

The area, with a central city center, citizen center and city square, becomes a lively center and communicati           on space for the neighborhoods. The central Stadtgartenallee represents the quarterly development with links to all neighboring quarters.
