Situated in Aspen’s historic West End, the modern reconstruction of a Victorian-era residence and garden is a truly unique synthesis of architecture and landscape architecture. Situated amongst 80-foot high mature spruce trees with direct panoramic views over Hallam Lake, this historic house was rebuilt with an exceptional attention to detail to produce a modern, minimalist interior with a resorted, original facade. The same attention to detail was brought into the landscape where strong axial lines were used in conjunction with a softer planting gesture to produce a landscape that was both functional and aesthetically stunning within its environment.
