An architectural anomaly in a tradition-minded region, this summer house, a short stroll from Lake Geneva, is comprised of a series of glass pavilions that overlook the views and one another. Our landscape design draws on the architectural language to create a rectilinear green middle zone that nestles the house more comfortably on its site and forms an effective transition to the surroundings. Aspens and pachysandra planted within ‘terrariums’ created by the home’s pod-like structure blur the distinction between interior and exterior zones.
