CMG is committed to creating as many wetlands as possible. Consequently, we turned this significant grading exercise into an opportunity for an artful composition of interconnected wetland systems, emblematic of our approach to system-based landscapes which combine infrastructure with ecological and water quality functions. Detailed hydrologic modelling indicates that the system will treat an average of nearly 90% of annual runoff.

Habitat creation, hydraulic requirements, water quality parameters, public access, and maintenance considerations are all integrated within this composed ecological design. A variety of wetland plant associations are combined in a sculpted mosaic that will emerge and evolve over time based on seasonal water depths and flows. Contours are changes of two inches and create a variety of freshwater marsh habitats.
