In order to improve both the form and function of this building, the design focused on the following areas: traffic flow, main drop-off area, atrium and skylight, main entrance lobby, event hall and fa?ade design. One of the advantages of the site was its relatively long frontage of 150 meters, however, the building volume spread across it lacked continuity. One of the priorities was therefore to create a unity between the existing parts of the building, including the various sections of the building base as well as visually connecting the base to the tower.

The image of the building, once rigid, calm and static, was injected with a sense of liveliness to better reflect its changing program, though still retaining its air of distinction and grace. This was achieved by appropriating the vertical lines that appear as a result of the light reflecting on the surface of the tower and applying them as vertical fins to the building base. Their lighting schemes also complement each other both during the day and at night. Curved lines have only been applied to the base of the building to create dynamic forms for this area, which houses the retail stores whose function is a major factor in making the building feels more animated.

The first four stories are renovated into retail shops, so architectural elements that would make the building feel softer and more vibrant have been inserted into the design. This area is connected to the walkway and a large open court of the mass transit rail system (BTS), and by leasing the latter space, the design gained a large event space without having to carry out any construction work. To further reinforce the connection between the building and the BTS, the walkway to the station has been treated with the same design language as the building base and a large suspended canopy hovers over their junction.

For the interior, new modifications were conceived to complement the existing design language, as well as integrating with the newly created outdoor areas to create more open and comfortable spaces. The unity of the overall project is achieved by establishing spatial and atmospheric continuity between the interior and exterior through all the different building components, including architecture, interior design, lighting design and wayfinding system.
