Capitalizing on its more urban scaled buildings, narrower streets and continuous shade canopies, Kierland has demonstrated that people will shop outside even during hotter temperatures. Retail sales in summer months have proven it and Kierland has become the place for people to shop, dine and gather in Scottsdale. At its center, Kierland has a gathering space that is really like a community park where young families and children play during the day at a splash pad, even when it’s boiling hot.
