纯形式新花园 Garden of pure forms-NEW by landscape

         Project illustrates strategy for sensibly incorporating development in an environmentally responsible manner. The design sets the house to one side of the property leaving the majority of the site open for the development of the landscape program. The main idea was developed through careful study of the existing conditions and the landscape design allows the creation of new and varied garden spaces that contrast and ultimately complement the native landscape. The landscape is woven into the architecture through paving, vistas and planting; all designed to encourage extensive use of the entire site.

Garden entrance is signed with sand frontyard, solitaire japanese cherry tree and strong bands of planting which extend away from the main house to provide firm edge of the property. The most comfortable is wooden terrace by the house wich opens dramatically to the sky over the stone wal. Totally different aspect of landscape provides extraordinary and attractive seating sculpture in shape of circle between birch trees. This unique garden element also provides views from house with feeling of landscape being caught in contemporary frame. From the surrounding area this pure form is marked as eyecatcher. This structure acts as a positive force by harnessing the dramatic tension between the naturalistic and designed.

The garden is a great example of taking what was there and working with it rather than coming in with a whole new concept.
